In 2017, Stanesby Architecture was appointed to prepare detailed drawings and schedules to repair significant internal damage to a Grade II* listed property, located on Portland Place in London.
Initially, the project required conservation of the interiors, including an Adam's style ceiling however, the project brief later evolved to include full refurbishment of the property and the addition of a new extension at the rear of the property.
The proposed extension uses white brickwork to maximise natural light into the lower levels of the property. New living areas will open up into an inner courtyard garden and Portland stone floor finishes and stonework form a material link to the wider area.
